The annual coffee morning for the Hospice in Fethard took place this year on Thursday, September 21, from 9 am until 6pm.
As usual, there was a great response with lots of people popping in for coffee and a chat in the newly renovated Town Hall.
It was also a chance for people to see the work that has been done in the hall to date and to admire the wonderful display of products from the Tipperary Food Producers.
The new audio-visual presentation on Fethard was also available for viewing and visitors seemed to really enjoy it.
Team of Volunteers
There was a constant stream of people in and out throughout the day and the team of volunteers was kept busy making tea, keeping the goodies flowing and generally having the craic.
Thanks to all our local ladies who donated biscuits and lots of lovely, home-baked cakes and buns. Thanks also to the large number of people who stopped by to make a donation to this most worthy cause even though they didn’t have time to stay and have a cuppa.
A special word of thanks to Jimmy and Fionnuala O’Sullivan for their assistance throughout the day. Thanks also to Edwina Newport for her help as regards accessing the amenities in the Town Hall.
The Coffee Morning for the Hospice raised €742.50 which was presented to Mrs Phil Wyatt for the Clonmel Hospice.
The organising committee would like to thank the people of Fethard and the surrounding area for their continued generosity in support of the Hospice. It is very much appreciated.
