Sheena Fennessy who will play 'The Evil Spirit'
St. Mary's Choral Society commence rehearsals tomorrow night, Thursday, 27th October for a very special nostalgic production which will be held on Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th December.
Based on the society's 75th anniversary publication, Thanks for the Memories, the show will consist of highlights from the musicals staged by the society over its long history and promises to be a wonderful evening of musical nostalgia.
St. Mary's are delighted to welcome Miriam Logan as chorus mistress for this special production.
The society would love to feature as many past members as possible in the show and invites all those who have had an involvement with the society over the years to come along and be part of this wonderful musical experience.
Rehearsals commence tomorrow night at 8pm in the Day Care Centre, Irishtown, Clonmel.
Meanwhile, rehearsals continue for St. Mary's Christmas pantomime Beauty and the Beast, which will run from 4th to 8th January next. Following recent auditions, the following have been chosen to play the adult roles in this hilarious pantomime - Beauty (Luisa Forte), The Beast/Prince Ferdinand (Emmet Donlan), Belladonna, the Evil Spirit (Sheena Fennessy), Fairy White Rose (Clare Murray), Beauty's father (David Hughes), Lucy Lastic (George Barry), Beauty's sisters (Diarmuid Vaughan and Kevin Fahey), Roderick Ruff Diamond and Crispen Cuthbert Smyth, the Suitors (James O'Donovan and Michelle Smith), Mrs. Botts (Esther Byrne), Mr. Hudson (James Sweeney) and Dobsworth (David Hogan), with a special appearance from Noel Cairns as Mrs Browne.
Tickets for Thanks for the Memories in Song will go on sale on Monday 21st November and panto tickets will be available from Monday 5th December from Marian's, O'Connell Street, Clonmel.
