Pedestrian killed in Co. Tipperary

A pedestrian has died after he was struck by a car in Co Tipperary last night.

The incident happened at around 8pm on the N24, Limerick to Waterford Road at Ballykisteen.

The 23-year-old man was brought to University Hospital Limerick, where he later died.

No other injuries were reported.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to contact them.
