Clonmel Rotary host a Christmas highlight in aid of local charities

Clonmel Rotary Club host one of the highlights of the Christmas season in the town on Wednesday, December 7.

The Christmas Food and Entertainment Evening in Raheen  House Hotel has proven to be a hugely popular festive event.

“We know it will be a great success again and are really looking forward to putting on one of the Christmas highlights in Clonmel”, says president Peter O’Donnell (pictured).

The diversity of entertainment on the night is one of the big attractions.

A regular highlight is a festive food demonstration by Jenny Flynn.

Meanwhile food and drink will be served throughout the evening.

A musical interlude is always popular and this year there is a change to the programme with a recital of festive music from St. Mary's Choir which is sure to be a hit with the patrons.

Helpful advice will also be available on the night - such as how to be creative in wrapping Christmas presents, and how to decorate a dining table with a Christmas theme.

A raffle will be held on the night with five hampers to be won.

The festive fundraiser will benefit a number of charities, including a donation to St Marys Church in Irishtown for the restoration of the organ.

The event gets underway at 7.30pm on December 7 with tickets, at €25,  now on sale at Cluain Training Centre, Nelson Street; Clonmel Office Supplies, Market Street;  and O'Sullivan insurances , Mitchel Street.
