The MooreHaven Centre Christmas Fayre and annual open day took place last Friday with many family attractions to entertain the visitors.
The smell of Christmas cakes and evergreen wreaths warmed your senses as you were gently drawn into the Christmas spirit with Christmas carols sung by local Secondary Schools.
The main hall held many stalls selling different Christmas gift ideas from the sewing section and the woodwork section displaying hand made crafts. Tipp Mid West radio Presenter John Moloney kept the party atmosphere going by interviewing the stallholders and the staff, old and new, who work at MooreHaven.
“It’s a great day for meeting old friends and colleagues,” said Terry McCarthy who worked at the centre for many years.
Santa was very busy listening to children's present requests in his grotto whilst the tea-rooms filled with people taking some time out to catch-up and take a breather in the run up to Christmas. The canteen facility offered many Christmas treats including: home made Christmas muffins, carrot cake, raspberry roulade and take-away apple tarts and cakes.
Derry McMahon, General Manager of MooreHaven was very pleased with the day. “There was a great buzz in the Centre all day starting at 11am through to 5.30pm. Thanks to everyone who supported the Fayre. It’s our annual open day and we were delighted with the support and turn out on the day.”
There were also lots to offer in the Garden Centre and the centre did very good sales on the day. The MooreHaven Christmas raffle was also very well supported with twenty-three names drawn for the prizes.
The MooreHaven Board, Staff and Management would like to wish you and yours a very Happy Christmas and every blessing in the New Year.
