Warning to Tipperary motorists to take extra care following heavy frost and ice overnight

Motorists in Tipperary are being urged to take extra caution when traveling this morning following heavy frost and icy conditions throughout the county overnight.

Gardai are reminding motorists to allow extra braking space as stretches of black ice have been reported around the county's roadways.

Temperatures overnight fell to below -1°C at Casement Aerodrome while a temperature of - 0.6°C was recorded at Gurteen weather station. 

Temperatures today are expected to hit between 4 to 8°C with a minimum temperature of -3 to +2°C overnight.
