Santa will turn on Carrick-on-Suir's Christmas lights this Saturday

Santa arriving to turn on Carrick-on-Suir's Christmas lights in 2015.

Santa will arrive by boat  to turn on the Christmas lights in Carrick-on-Suir this Saturday,  December 2 at approx 4.30pm. 

He will be brought to the lights switch on ceremony outside the Carraig Hotel on board a Carrick-on-Suir River Rescue boat. 

Carrick-on-Suir Brass Band will perform at the festivities. 

Carrick-on-Suir Business Association has invested in providing a lot of new fairy lights for the town this Christmas and thanked Carrick-on-Suir Municipal District for allocating grant aid to the Association for the lights. 

The Association has spent €120,000 on providing the town's Christmas Lights over the last ten years. 

Meanwhile, COSBA is once again urging the people and businesses of Carrick-on-Suir and its district to keep money in the local economy this Christmas by purchasing Carrick-on-Suir Shopping Vouchers as gifts for loved ones, employees and customers. 

The vouchers allow  recipient to make purchases in a range of Carrick retail shops and services. 

A list of the local businesses  participating in the Carrick Shopping Voucher Scheme is available from the Credit Union.
