Tipperary Weather: Nenagh St. Patrick's Day parade goes on despite snow

Nenagh's postponed St Patrick's Day Parade will go ahead this Sunday afternoon despite the Tipperary town being blanketed by overnight snow.

With swirling snow still falling this morning parade chairman Cllr Hughie McGrath told the Tipperary Star everything was ready for the 2pm start.

The parade will leave Summerhill and make its way down Pearse Street and Kenyon Street before ending at the railway station.
Meanwhile the Ballycommon sponsored ride in aid of North Tipperary Hospice went ahead at 10.30am with the parade of jockeys through the village to the jumping arena.

The event and jumping will continue until 12.30pm when the ride will leave Ballycommon village
