BREAKING: Body recovered in river rescue operation in Tipperary

A body has reportedly been recovered from the River Suir in the vicinity of MSD in Ballydine between Kilsheelan and Carrick on Suir this morning.

A river rescue operation was launched earlier this morning on the River Suir concentrating on a stretch of water between Kilsheelan and Carrick on Suir.

The Rescue 117 Coastguard Helicopter, Carrick on Suir River Rescue and Emergency Services were called to the scene in the Ballydine – Dove Hill area before 10 o’clock this morning.

The search was launched a short time before the requiem mass was to be celebrated this morning in Piltown of fourteen year old Elisha Gault who went missing on St.Patrick’ Day and whose body was rescued from the river below Carrick on Suir on Sunday last.
