Met Eireann issue rainfall alert for Tipperary predicting up to 50mm of rain within 24 hours

A Status Yellow rainfall warning has been issued for Tipperary with Met Eireann predicting up to 50mm of rain could fall in the county by Friday afternoon.

Heavy rain is expected to hit Tipperary from 2pm on Thursday, April 5 and will continue until Friday, April 6 at 2pm.

The weather warning also covers counties Carlow, Kilkenny, Wexford, Cork, Kerry, Limerick and Waterford.

Met Eireann say they expect between 30mm and 50mm of rain in these areas, leading to a risk of flooding.
