Courthouse book club:
This will be a relaxed and informal club, where the members will take turns in picking the monthly book. Arrangements will be made with our local library to have copies available. The first meeting will be on June 28th at 2pm. Further details from 0505 22550/0831133987. Call soon so you have lots of time to read the first book proposed.
The next Dementia conversation will take place at 10am on June 13th. This will be a critical meeting when we will finalise our strategy and action plan. There will be representation from Alzheimer Society Ireland to discuss regional services and the National Dementia Communities Programme. Action for Dementia happens on three levels, the person who has dementia, their family, friends and formal carers and finally everybody in our Community. Meeting will take place in the Courthouse.
To celebrate the Bealtaine Dawn Chorus, the Rosie Greys travelled to Dromineer on Saturday to sing along with Cloughjordan’s Mellow Tones. This was a unique experience with the beautiful Lough Derg as a backdrop. A big thank you to all involved, especially Liz Powell & the Mellow Tones; Melanie Scott and the Tipperary Arts Office; Dromineer Yacht Club and Andrew Walsh and Anthony O'Connor. A very special thank you to Leader Edel Carey and our accompanist Susan Price.
