20 acre parcel of land in Tipperary sells for €175,000 at BidX1 auction

Intensive bidding at the latest BidX1 online auction racked up a combined €926,000 across six different auction lots from Tipperary including a 20 acre parcel of land outside Tipperary town and a mixed use retail investment in Kilsheelan which ended up selling for double its asking price.

A 20 acre parcel of land outside Tipperary town was sold for €175,000 at the most recent BidX1 auction, €55,000 above its original guide price. The land, which extends to eight hectares and is located at Bohercrow Tipperary town, is zoned AG and attracted 20 different bids before finally selling for €8,750 an acre. 

Among the other auction highlights was an all out bidding war which erupted over a mixed use retail unit and creche in Kilsheelan which sold for more than double it’s guide price when the hammer finally fell after 116 bids at €216,000.

Bidding for lot 364 located at Ivowen House, Kilsheelan began at €95,000 however a bidding frenzy immediately ensued between three bidders making the price jump to €216,000.

A detached four bedroom property in Ballycommon, Nenagh also attracted significant interest from interested parties before selling for €260,000 - €102,000 above it's reserve. The property, located at Ballyartella Ballycommon, is set on 0.54 acres and attracted 49 bids during the auction between four bidders. 

A mixed use investment located on Main Street, Killenaule was sold for €180,000 after one bid. The lot included two adjoining buildings comprising a public house, overhead two bedroom apartment and ground floor takeaway with a two bedroom apartment overhead.

In Carrick on Suir a two bedroom house at Parish Hill, Carrickbeg was sold for €45,000 after one bid while a detached three bedroom property in Ardfinnan also fell under the hammer for €50,000.

A mid terrace three bedroom house at Summerhill Nenagh and a three bedroom house in Killenaule did not receive any interested bids however both properties were sold after the auction for an undisclosed sum.

Overall sales of more than €36m were recorded at the most recent BidX1 auctions attracting bidders from as far away as Saudi Arabia and New Zealand. Figures released from Bidx1 also reveal that up to 40 percent of the bidding took place on a mobile device, with bidders happy to compete for properties while on-the-go.
