The South Tipperary Art Group (STAG's) 50th anniversary exhibition is now on display at the County Museum in Mick Delahunty Square, Clonmel, and will continue until the end of October.

It includes artworks from current adult members and also former Junior members, who are now following careers in the arts and craft industry.

The exhibition, which was launched by renowned artist Robert Ballagh, may be viewed during Museum opening hours from Tuesday to Saturday, and is closed on Sundays and Mondays. Many of the artworks are for sale.

The County Museum not only has STAG artworks and photos of current and former members on display, but there are also some wonderful artefacts from bygone days in the permanent gallery, and admission is free.

It’s a great place just to wander around and enjoy local history and is a credit to curator Marie McMahon and staff.

STAG’s Golden Jubilee Exhibition in Clonmel Library closed last Saturday with a number of artworks sold. In spite of the great weather it attracted a huge number of visitors.
