Funeral arrangements of Tipperary murder victim announced

The funeral arrangements of a  24-year-old Tipperary man   murdered  in a stabbing incident in Mallow last Thursday have been announced.

Conor Quinn (24)  of Kilshane  near  Tipperary town had attended  Cahirmee Horse Fair and later that day in Mallow  Mr Quinn  suffered fatal injuries.

His remains will repose  at Whelan's Funeral Home, Bansha Road, Tipperary  this evening (Wednesday 18th)  from 5.30pm to 8pm. Requiem Mass will take place on Thursday in St. Michael's Church, Tipperary at 10.30am. Funeral afterwards to St. Michael's Cemetery, Tipperary.


Conor Quinn of Springhouse, Kilshane  is survived by  his father Paul, mother Teresa, brother Anthony, sister Sinead, partner Stephanie, grandparents, uncles, aunts, cousins, relatives and friends.


Mallow gardaí launched a murder investigation after a post mortem by assistant State pathologist Dr Margaret Bolster at Cork University Hospital (CUH) confirmed that Mr Quinn met a violent death.
