Five men have been arrested in Clonmel following an alleged assault and subsequent public order offence last weekend.
The five are being detained at a number of garda stations.
And Inspector James White has made an appeal to the public for information concerning the incidents in the Shanavine Way area last Friday or Saturday.
The five arrested range in age from late teens to late 40s.
Inspector White said a number of items, including sticks and pipes, had been recoeved by gardai following the incident.
He said the gardai would appreciate any information they can get from the public in relation to the incidents.
