Nenagh groups and organisation to receive Tipperary County Council grants

A number of local groups and organisations in the Nenagh MDC area have received grants from Tipperary County Council.

The council received 93 applications across with county with 10 groups in Nenagh area getting funding.

Ballinderry Development Association, Kilbarron Terryglass Historical Society, Newport Town AFC and St Ruadhan's Church of Ireland Community Group each received €1,000 in the small grant category.

Under the non RAPID grants, six groups received funding. Terryglass Improvements Association received €1,000 towards a defibrillator; Sean Treacy's GAA club, €2,500 for external lighting; Kildangan GAA club, €1,650 for hall development; Newport Town AFC, €2,500 for hall enhancement; Monsea Muinter na Tire, €1,306 for hall enhancement, and Longhouse Committee, €2,500, for outdoor furniture.
