Tipperary property prices rise €13,000 in past year

Property prices in Tipperary have risen by €13,000 in the last year, according to the latest MyHome.ie Property Report in association with Davy.

The report for Q3 2018 shows that the median asking price for a property in the county now stands at €165,000. This is up 3% from the previous quarter and a rise of €13,000 or 8% from this time last year.

This means that the asking price for a home in Tipperary is now at its highest level since it stood at €165,000 five years ago in Q1 2013.

The rise in prices was reflected in the asking price for a 3-bed semi-detached house in the county, which rose by 4% in the last quarter from €138,000 to €145,000. Annually this is also up 3% on 12 months ago when prices stood at €135,000.

Prices reached their highest level in Q2 in 2008 when they stood at €230,000.

The asking price for a 4-bed semi-detached house in Tipperary rose by 1% in the last quarter to €177K. Annual prices were up 12% on this time last year when they stood at €157,000. 

The average time to go sale agreed on a property in the county now stands at 4 months.
