'Living with Loneliness' - public meeting to be held in County Tipperary

Many people are living lonely and isolated lives

Jackie Cahill T.D. will host a public meeting titled "Living with Loneliness" on this Friday 19th October at the Anner Hotel, at 8pm. Admission is free

The guest speaker is Senator Dr. Keith Swanick founder of the Loneliness Taskforce.

"The issue of loneliness in our society is an increasing and silent problem. It affects all age groups and it is sad that in this age of prosperity that we have lost some of the connections within our communities that sees many people living lonely and isolated lives." said Deputy Cahill this week.

He went on to say that he was delighted to have secured Dr. Keith Swanick as the guest speaker on the night who is a pioneer in the area of loneliness and the affects of loneliness in Ireland today.
