Sleeping Beauty panto opens at Carrick-on-Suir’s Strand Theatre

The opening night performance of Carrick-on-Suir Musical Society's annual pantomime “Sleeping Beauty” took place at the Strand Theatre last night (Wednesday, October 17) and the show’s run continues until this Sunday, October 21.  

Carrick-on-Suir Musical Society PRO Caolan Deehy-Power pointed out that tickets are still available at the Strand Theatre's box office and will be on sale before each performance. 

“Sleeping Beauty” feature performances from a large contingent of children and teenagers, who are members of the Musical Society's Academy of Performing Arts. 

Liadhain O'Shea plays the lead role of Sleeping Beauty while Freddie Doyle plays William. Seamus Power is reprising his role as the panto dame Lola while Bobby Landers takes on the comic role of Tickles. 

Other cast members include Tarryn Attlee, who plays the evil Magnificent, Caolán Deehy-Power who is Rupert, Siobhán McCarthy and Sienna Reynold, who plays Snap and Crackle. The show also stars Kayleigh Cronin-Carroll as Jacinta and Audie Murphy as The King.

The show will be staged at 8pm tonight (Thursday) and Friday and there will be 3pm matinee performances on Saturday and Sunday. 

Anyone wishing to buy a ticket for Sleeping Beauty can contact The Strand Theatre Box Office at (051) 645050 and (086) 357 1403. The Box Office is open Monday to Friday from 11am-3pm.
