Cahir footballer Aisling McCarthy is heading to Australia for the upcoming AFLW season.
The Tipperary star has been drafted to the Western Bulldogs team after travelling to Australia in September as part of the Cross Coders program.
The Bulldogs say the 22 year old,named the 2017 Intermediate Player of the Year, impressed with her power and speed, as well as her ball-handling ability.
Aisling scored 1-4 and landed the player of the match award as Tipperary were crowned TG4 All-Ireland Ladies Intermediate football champions at Croke Park last year.
