On Sunday August 25, Glebe Park was the place to be for the Community Fun Day, organised by Autism Awareness Roscrea.
From 7.30am the park was buzzing with action as the committee members and volunteers got the park ready for their second Community Fun Day.
Tents were put up, bouncy castles inflated and benches cleaned down to welcome Roscrea and the wider community to our Community Fun Day. On the day, as well as our bouncy castles, there was music, fairies, face painting, cling film painting, massages and LEGO building and play dough fun.
There was a great turn out for the event. On the day, those with special need could avail of our Blue Band Express system which made it easier and quicker to access all activities. We also had quiet tents for anyone who found the busyness of the day too overwhelming.
The committee would like to thank all whose who made day possible, including our volunteers, local residents, gardai and all those to helped on the day.
We are already looking forward to next year's event! We would also like to thank the people of Roscrea and further afield who attended on the day and helped make it such a success. If you want any further information on the group, check out our Facebook page or email us at autismawareness
