Tipperary gardaí catch motorists speeding on local road after meeting with residents

Templemore Roads Policing Unit met with a residents' committee spokesperson recently and discussed the issue of speeding in Newtown, Nenagh, which is a 50km/h zone.

Following speed checkpoints conducted over the weekend, a number of Fixed Charged Penalty Notices were issued.

Gardai said: 'We will continue to enforce the Road Traffic Act in the area to keep all road users safe. Please SLOW DOWN.'
