I just want to let your readers know what a wonderful time was had by us all at the Tipperary International Peace Convention/Song of Peace 2012. The committee did a “knockout job” at creating a marvellous itinerary for the Convention. You could not have chosen finer recipients for this years Peace Award then President Mary McAleese and Senator Martin McAleese. Both individuals are so deserving of this prestigious award. The Peace Forum was of equal importance, and so informative, on just how far the peace concerns of Northern Ireland have come. Very knowledgable speakers in the forum too, especially Baroness Nuala O’Loan. For us the contestants, participating in various ‘giving back’ opportunites through song, was marvellous indeed. What finer way to bring communities and peoples of various countries together than through song. Ties, bonds, and friendships have been nurtured through these events, that will surely last a lifetime. Bless your efforts, and bless your dedication to this form of “Global Service” as Ambassadors of Peace. To all those involved in this extrordinary event, especially the Committee of the Tipperary International Peace Convention and Song of Peace event I say take a well deserved bow. Martin Quinn your words were so true, there were many many “Feel Good Factors” to this wonderful wonderful week.
Until we meet again....Bless You All in Tipperary!
