“Cut Loose”

Dear Editor, Please allow me to use the medium of your newspaper to congratulate and thank all concerned with the “Cut Loose” Country Music Festival at the Holycross G.A.A. Grounds on Sunday last.

Having travelled down to the event with my wife, I was not sure what to expect from this new addition to the Country Music calendar but I needn’t have worried.

From the moment we parked our car, we were met by scores of stewards and helpers, each one as polite, pleasant and welcoming as the next. The event was obviously exceptionally well planned, and the quality of the music was second to none, making the 20 euro ticket price seem very reasonable indeed.

We enjoyed ourselves immensely from 1 o’clock until just after 7 o’clock as one top entertainer after another put on a great show. As we left we were wished well by several of the volunteers from the local G.A.A. Club, who we are looking forward to meeting next year, when we will certainly return to “Cut Loose” again, this time with many of our friends. Our sincere thanks for a wonderful day out.

Yours sincerely,

J. & D. Sullivan.
