Cllr Michael Murphy leads the way with most of the boxes tallied in the Clonmel Electoral Area

Over 90 percent of boxes in the Clonmel Electoral Area have been tallied

With 93% of boxes tallied in the Clonmel Local Electoral Area, Fine Gael's Cllr Michael Murphy leads the way with a total of 2,513 votes.

These tally figures put Cllr Pat English (Workers Unemployed Action Group) in second place with 1,498 votes, followed by Fianna Fáil's Cllr Siobhán Ambrose in third place on 1,363 votes, and Fine Gael's Cllr John FitzGerald on 1,038 votes.

Then comes Independent Councillor Richie Molloy (682 votes), Independent Cllr Niall Dennehy (569), Deirdre Dempsey (Independent, 306), Teresa Johnson (Workers Unemployed Action Group, 302), Dean McGrath (Sinn Féin, 303),Natasha Dingivan (Sinn Féin 232) and Myriam Madigan (Green Party, 145).
