BREAKING: First councillors have been elected in the Clonmel Local Electoral Area

The first count in the Clonmel Electoral Area has concluded

The first count has been completed in the Clonmel Electoral Area.

As Cllrs Michael Murphy, Pat English and Siobhán Ambrose have exceeded the quota, they have been elected on the first count.

The following is the result -

Siobhán Ambrose (Fianna Fáil) - 1,512

Deirdre Dempsey (Non Party) - 321

Niall Dennehy (Non Party) - 621

Natasha Dingivan (Sinn Féin) - 282

Pat English (Workers Unemployed Action Group) - 1,574

John FitzGerald (Fine Gael) - 1,134

Teresa Johnson (Workers Unemployed Action Group) - 313

Myriam Madigan (Green Party) - 158

Dean McGrath (Sinn Féin) - 320

Richie Molloy (Non Party) - 746

Michael Murphy (Fine Gael) - 2,746

Total Electorate - 19,734

Invalid Ballot Papers - 110

Valid Poll - 9,727

Number of Seats - 6

Quota - 1,390
