‘The Civil War in the Cahir Area, 1922-23’ - Interesting lecture to begin new year in Tipperary

A Free State Army column on the move during the Irish Civil War

Cahir Social and Historical Society is starting the year off early with their first lecture of 2023 in Cahir House Hotel on next Thursday, January 12. Start time is at 8pm.


Society stalwart PJ O’Meara will give a talk on ‘The Civil War in the Cahir Area, 1922-23’. A hundred years on from this conflict, PJ will give an overview of how it played out in Cahir and surrounding areas.

This is bound to be of interest to many. Admission is €3 for members and €5 for guests.

All are welcome to attend .
