The commemoration takes place on Sunday at the old Tesco Car Park, Grove Street Roscrea at 2pm
A commemoration to mark the centenary of the execution of four IRA volunteers in Roscrea Castle during the Civil War will be held on January 8 at 2pm.
Frederick Burke, Patrick Russell, Martin O’ Shea, and Patrick McNamara were executed by the Free State forces on the 15th of January 1923.
This years commemoration will assemble at the old Tesco Car Park, Grove Street Roscrea at 2pm before proceeding to the castle where the Commemration will take place.
The main oration will be given by the veteran republican and former TD Martin Ferris. There will be music and refreshments in Jacks Bar afterwards.
All are welcome to attend.
