JK Brackens to host its dinner dance and takes part in Operation Transformation

Willie Collier, Aidan Doyle, Daren Owens and Kevin Mulryan meet up at the recent JK Brackens reunion

JK Brackens will hold a dinner dance in the Templemore Arms on Friday, January 27, at 7pm. Contact Aoife Percy for tickets which are priced at €40. Music by Silver Dollar followed by DJ.

Having completed the Mid Senior double for the first time in our history we encourage all our members and supporters to come along and enjoy a good night out.

Well done to the Cadell brothers, Paddy and Conor who both togged out for Tipp Seniors last weekend. Paddy was centre-field for the hurlers who defeated Clare in the Munster League while Conor was wing forward for the footballers who had a big win over Waterford in the McGrath Cup.

The footballers now face Limerick in Templetouhy on Saturday at 2pm with the winners advancing to the final. The hurlers are relying on Clare to beat Waterford by a dozen or less which would see them advance to the final on score difference.

Well done to Jim Martin of Clonmore who claimed Sunday night’s 50/50 jackpot worth €402. Jim bought his winning ticket in the Templemore Arms hotel. Draw takes place every Sunday night.

In conjunction with Operation Transformation and JK Brackens GAA healthy club, Ireland Lights Up makes its return.

This year the club are getting involved and invite all members of the community to join them tonight at 8pm at the club pavilion.

With the kind permission of Templemore Athletic Club we will then head for the track to do our walk which should last about 45 minutes.

So if you fancy getting some exercise after all the Christmas excess please join us and get the new year off to a healthy start.
