Looking forward to a lovely food and craft market on Saturday April 1st – we can still accommodate some more traders so please call 087 270 1689. We will be indoors in the Greyhound Stadium on Saturday but outside spaces can be provided if necessary.
Please see our Facebook page at Thurles Farmers Market for details of individual traders – jewellery, knitted goods, children’s books, baked goods, candles, unique handmade walking sticks and the senior winners of the Tipperary Schools Student Enterprise Competition from the Ursuline school are amongst the traders – the girls have created a special phone holder that makes cable chargers more sustainable and phone use more comfortable for the user.
Thanks to everyone for their support on Saturday last as we held a belated Daffodil Day for the Irish Cancer Society. A total of €550 was raised for which we are truly grateful.
Special thanks to all who donated daffodils and those that performed music on the day – the Tin Whistlers Group are branching out and had a couple of concertinas on the go on Saturday making a very enjoyable atmosphere.
If you are in the neighbourhood for the Market or walk don’t forget there is a Coffee Truck operating from 8am to 4pm daily and they also offer a choice of teas.
The market operates every Saturday morning between 9am and 12.30pm at the Greyhound Stadium Thurles with plenty of free car park space.
At the Farmers Market you can purchase a wide range of produce – Clonismullen Butter and Milk from Drom is available at the Market and we hope you enjoy this local artisan product. Fruit, vegetables, honey, apple juice, jams, eggs, hen or duck, beef, pork, chicken, lamb, puddings, goujons and sausages are also available at Thurles Farmers Market.
TJ can meet any needs you have for fuel – kindling to firewood and deliveries can be arranged – call 087 985 5745.
Please help support the local economy by supporting local producers. Shop local and keep your local skill set and suppliers in business. Any queries re the market please call 087 270 1689.
