A new junior art session of six weeks will commence on Saturday April 22
The South Tipperary Art Group (STAG’s) work team have been busy getting the Easter characters ready for the roundabout at Tesco, which are now in situ and looking very festive indeed.
The group has been asked to paint the 180 feet-long hoarding at St Anthony’s Unit in Glenconnor, a mammoth task that they hope to start during the week.
Five artists from county Waterford come on a Tuesday night or Wednesday morning to the STAG art sessions.
New members with some knowledge of art are welcome to join.
All artworks in the premises in which they are hung will be changed next week. They are The Showgrounds Shopping
Centre, Befani's Restaurant, the leisure centre at Hotel Minella and Slievenamon Golf Club, Lisronagh.
After extensive renovations in the pharmacy at Tipperary University Hospital, Clonmel, the group has been invited to hang artworks again in the outpatient's corridor there.
Thanks are extended to the hospital and all of the local businesses for displaying and selling STAG artwork, it is much appreciated.
Junior STAG has now closed for the Easter Holiday.
A new session of six weeks will commence on Saturday April 22. Please contact the Organiser Maureen Purcell at 086-8096823 to join the next session.
The group caters for young people from the age of nine years to Sixth Class (primary section) and youths from First Year to Leaving Certs in the senior section.
