Storm Trees Events Day as part of National Tree Week 2014, with the theme ‘The Sound of Trees’ takes place in Clonmel this Saturday with a talk in the County Museum following by a walk at Glenbawn Woods, The Rock, Marlfield. We can still hear the SOUND OF TREES wildly lashing and creaking in the storm.

What would you call the sound of trees in a storm?

To mark National Tree Week this year, we are using the occasion to share our experiences of the effects ongoing storms and climate change are having on our trees and woodland habitats.

You are invited to come and join us in the County Museum, Clonmel for:

Tree Art and sharing your Storm Tree Stories between 10am and 1pm: (with Elke and Lyn)

Drop in for art-making or just come along and share your storm tree stories/experiences.

We will make beautiful branch mobiles and craft with twigs and roots and more.

Materials supplied (welcome to bring in your own interesting fallen tree branch shapes)

Places limited, first come first serve - suited for age 6yrs to much older.
