WEEE Ireland, the Irish compliance scheme for electrical and battery recycling, is holding three free recycling even in Tipperary, on Saturday, July 26.
The collection events, in association with Tipperary County Council, will take place from 10am – 4pm at the following locations:
Tesco Tipperary Town; Fethard Public Car Park (near bottle banks); and Fair Green Car Park, Carrick on Suir
WEEE Ireland need your help to hit recycling targets so please recycle your waste batteries now.
If you can’t make the collection events on July 26 you can also get involved and make your donation in the following ways:
Bring waste batteries back to any retail outlet that sells similar batteries in Tipperary – look out for the special WEEE Ireland blue battery boxes across the country and make a difference.
Alternatively, you can recycle batteries for free at your local civic amenity site in Tipperary along with any electrical items you have for recycling or at other designated WEEE Ireland collection days. For more information log on to recyclefree.ie
These free WEEE Ireland recycling events allow people to get rid of any household electrical equipment and batteries in a safe and environmentally friendly manner.
Anything in the home with a battery or a plug can be recycled at the July 26 collections.
