Big concert in Shinrone with James Kilbane is hosted by Offaly’s Brendan Pastoral Cluster

James Kilbane is set to wow audiences!

A great night of Irish folk, country and gospel singing with singer James Kilbane will take place at Shinrone Community Centre on June 2nd at 8pm.

The concert is in support of the Brendan Cluster of parishes comprising of the parish areas of Birr, Kilcolman, Kinnitty and Shinrone with their fundraising efforts for the great work of the youth ministry in the cluster.

There will also be a special performance from members of the clusters youth ministry. Today, one of the main focuses of the cluster and their communities is on young people and the values they build their lives on.

The cluster of parishes wish and hope is to create a vibrant youth group. The young people are energised in the cluster by practical activities and outreach in the church and wider community.

This summer in July a group of young people from the cluster will travel to the World youth celebrations in Portugal. This event occurs every 4 years and was the innovative of the late Pope John Paul.

The concert on June 2nd is the first step of this new initiative as young people need encouragement, support and in
particular to affirm hope in their young lives. All the support to this young group of people will be greatly appreciated.

The concert with James Kilbane and guests will included so many great Irish ballads including ‘The Fields of Athenry’, ‘Danny Boy’, ‘Go Lassie Go’ alongside many country classics that always have audiences singing along.

James will bring his award winning musicians who will have your feet stomping to great traditional tunes as part of the concert
set. James performed this show for four summer seasons in the holiday town of Westport entertaining visitors from home and abroad.

Now James makes this Irish and Country night show available alongside his other gospel concert events to communities. The Irish and country night has proved popular with audiences and Kilbane is delighted to be bringing it now to Shinrone Community Centre in support of the parishes and the youth ministry there.
