Fire fighters battled gorse fires that got out of control in mountain areas in South Tipperary over the bank holiday weekend.
A spokesman for South Tipperary Fire Service said fire fighters from Tipperary Town were called out to a gorse fire on the Galtee Mountains while tenders from Carrick-on-Suir and Clonmel were called to Kilcash to deal with a gorse fire on Slievenamon.
He said the fires occurred between last Friday and Monday.
The Fire Service spokesman said thankfully the fires were not as dramatic as those that raged through parts of the west of Ireland in the past few days.
