This December we hope to have a Christmas themed weekend in Fethard for the young and not so young to enjoy.
The weekend will begin on Friday, December 7, when Santa has a visit to Fethard planned. He will be in town to turn on the Christmas lights and then visit the Youth Center where a Christmas Market will be held from 5pm to 8pm. Anybody interested in having a stall in the hall phone 0868743752 after 6pm. Stalls will be given on a first come basis and as space is limited it’s advisable to book early.
On Saturday, December 8, a Christmas matinee and an evening film will be shown in the hall. On Sunday December 9, Bernard Tynan will hold a craft fair in the hall where lots of stalls will display with a large variety of lovely craft items available to purchase for gifts. If anyone is interested in a stall call Bernard at 0861709951.
This weekend will offer a great chance for the community to come together and do some Christmas shopping in a lovely relaxed atmosphere. All money raised from the rent of stalls will be used for the upkeep and running of the Youth Centre.
We are very lucky to have this hall and its facilities available in the town so lets all do our bit to keep the doors open and at the same time enjoy a great festive weekend.
