A great night was had by all at the ‘Sounds of Spring’ concert in the Loreto Secondary School, Clonmel on Wednesday, March 20.
This show marked the beginning of our fundraiser in order to equip both a new science laboratory and home economics room in our school which will certainly benefit both present and future students.
Every year group was represented by various acts in the show.
From singing to dancing, playing instruments to a polyrhythm clapping group, there was certainly something for everyone.
We have always been taught the importance of using our talents here in Loreto Clonmel and there is no doubt that this was visible on the night.
The show opened with the school orchestra followed by solo performers, dancers, trad groups and both junior and senior choirs to name but a few.
The production of our show would not have been possible without the sheer dedication and hard work of every student involved.
We were extremely proud to have been part of the whole experience especially in our last year here in Loreto.
Well done to every student involved, you did yourselves and our school proud.
A huge congratulations to our music teachers Mrs. Breda Geoghegan and Mr. Conor Power. They are always behind us every step of the way and we are so grateful for their hard work for the past few weeks.
We thank everyone for your generosity and support for this event. The show was definitely a mixture of both hard work and talent, as they say “Hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard”.
