Former Tipperary hurler Conor O'Brien hails from the west Tipperary club that have thought up this novel fundraiser!
As the interest weans off the All-Ireland series for Tipperary supporters, the focus closer to home returns to the club activity over the next couple of months and to whet your appetite for the action Éire Óg Annacarty Donohill GAA club have come up with a novel fundraiser the Tipperary county championship prediction competition fundraiser.
All you must do (like it sounds easy!) is predict the outcome of the Tipperary club hurling championship group stages games.
The prizes are worthwhile as the prize money overall is worth €2,000! The 1st place prize is €1000; 2nd Place is €300 while the 3rd in the competition will receive €200. The club of the winning participant will receive €500 as well.
What you have to do is forecast the outcome of all 72 games of the FBD Tipperary Senior, Premier Intermediate & Intermediate Championships. Entry costs €10 - and you can contact Donal O'Dwyer for arranging payment (entries will not be counted until payment is confirmed)
How it works is that you pick one team or the other to win. If you are correct in your prediction you get 1 point for the win. If you think the game is going to be a draw and you are correct, you get 3 points added to your total overall.
So how hard can it be? Well if you are not sure of how games will go there is also a quick pick option available also. It is ideal for those hard to predict games that you just can't pick which way it will go for sure.
Tickets are available off all club members of Eire Og Annacarthy GAA club and from all local businesses is the parish and surrounds such as Jerry Jacks, The Cross Bar Donohill, P.P. O'dwyer Hardware and the Tearooms in Annacarty.
