County Tipperary Chamber announce launch of Health & Wellness Series of Events in collaboration with UPMC.

 County Tipperary Chamber Skillnet hasheld a “How to create a culture of wellbeing in your organisation in your workplace” with guest speaker Calodagh McCumiskey who is an accredited Master Practitioner in Wellbeing. She works with a range of businesses, governmental Bodies and NGOs around Wexford and Ireland on their wellbeing programs.


County Tipperary Chamber are delighted to announce the  launch of their Health & Wellness series of events which will be in collaboration with our members UPMC. The first of the series will be The Benefits of Exercise for Mental Health and Wellness taking place in UPMC Sports Medicine Clinic in Thurles , July 27th - 12 – 2 p.m. 


Commenting on UPMC's support of the Health & Wellness Series, Claire Phelan, General Manager, UPMC Aut Even Hospital said: “UPMC is committed to clinical excellence and the highest level of patient care - serving the people of Tipperary, the South East of Ireland and beyond, from our new UPMC Sports Medicine Clinic in Thurles, as well as through our network of four hospitals. Working with Tipperary Chamber, we want to bring the very best in terms of advice and support to the business and wider community and look forward to the many activities planned.” 


Following a very successful event hosted by Chambers Ireland with County Tipperary Chamber members and stakeholders around the Well-being Framework for Ireland, creating an awareness and understanding of what makes for better lives is needed.


Michelle Aylward, CEO of County Tipperary Chamber commented “ We’ve never been more aware of the importance of looking after our mental and physical health than we are at this moment. We as a community need to ensure we are providing the knowledge that is required to do this which is why we are doing this collaboration with members UPMC. We want to bring this information to as many people as possible which is why we are kicking off this 1st in a series of events in Thurles.
