Moyne Road Residents in the garden are Tommy Barrett, Michael Brett and Dan Duggan
The Moyne Road/ Bellevue Residents Association in Thurles were delighted to receive a grant to celebrate biodiversity week recently from the Tipperary Heritage Office.
This grant was used to purchase a new bird table which is located in the estates community garden.
It is hoped that the installation of the bird table will help to educate the young people in the area about the importance of looking after our wildlife and that we all have a role to play in this.
Those in Thurles focused on our environment are proving themselves to be strong community leaders who are leading by example.
During biodiversity week pollinator friendly shrubs were also planted in the area and these included Lavender, Lupines and Aster.
Overall Biodiversity week was a big success on Moyne Road and the residents wish to acknowledge the support of the Tipperary Heritage Office in making this such a positive experience.
