Tipperary Rose Lauren Walsh is rallying her supporters to follow her to Portlaoise, for the Rose of Tralee Regional Festival from May 29 to June 1.
It’s a major tourism event on the Irish Festivals calendar attracting 60 Roses, their families, friends and festival-goers from Ireland and around the world.
Lauren says - “Since becoming the Tipperary Rose the experience has been just phenomenal. The sense of pride I feel in representing my county is overwhelming and people have been so lovely. The advice and encouragement from all involved has been fantastic and every one of them has contributed to my excitement for the Portlaoise event.
I decided to enter the Rose of Tralee because it is something I have wanted to do since I was a little girl. Representing my county and potentially my country would mean so much to me and I’m so glad I have been chosen to take part. I am so looking forward to starting this journey.”
