Funding which has been recently released under the Low Cost Accident Scheme will eliminate safety fears, according to the Mayor of Clonmel/Cahir Borough District, Cllr. Martin Lonergan.

Funding will benefit traffic calming measures in Ardfinnan Village, a dangerous junction at Clogharden, Grange and the junction at Curraghleigh East, Ballyporeen.

He said, “These are jobs that are designed to treat local areas with a road safety hazard. The types of works vary as they are site specific to the hazards found at that location. I welcome the funding for traffic calming measures in Ardfinnan coming from the Clogheen road which has been an issue with residents on Main Street for some time.”
