The children of Cahir Park pre-school love having visitors and so they were delighted when Garda Linda Sullivan came to visit them last week.
Linda came in her full uniform and she told the children all about being a Garda.
She talked to them about being safe on the road and wearing their safety belt in the car.
She showed them her high vis jacket and told them how important it was to be seen when it is dark.
The children had lots of questions for Linda, mostly about driving the Garda car and what the sound of the siren was like. The children had been practising the safe cross code all week and told Linda about it.
Before she left they sang her a song and did a little drama scene on safely crossing the road at the pedestrian crossing. Linda was very impressed and thanked the children for being so good.
With the weather finally improving, the children are now taking part in a Fit Kids pre-school programme with David from Cahir Park.
They will be participating in this exercise programme on the all weather pitch once a week for the next four weeks.
We just might have future Olympic athletes among the group!
