Congratulations to fifth year students Aisling Kenny and Luke Doyle who were selected to travel as helpers to Lourdes as part of the Waterford and Lismore diocesan pilgrimage. They were selected following interviews of the large number of applicants, and will travel to Lourdes in June.
The Green Schools Committee are co-ordinating a Used Clothing Collection in the college this week. Mens’, womens’ and childrens’ used clothing, along with shoes, belts, handbags, ties and linens will be accepted in any condition once they are clean. Bags should be brought to the Construction Room on Thursday February 3 or Friday February 4. A reminder also that used mobile phones, batteries and printer ink cartridges may be disposed at the recycle centre in the college.
Coláiste Dún Iascaigh’s annual Open Night and viewing of the college will take place on Monday, February 14, from 7.15 to 9pm. This is an ideal opportunity for in particular for incoming students and their parents/guardians to visit the College and view the excellent facilities available. Students will show samples of work and teachers will be available to answer questions about subject curricula and choices. All are welcome to attend.
The Information Night for parents/guardians of incoming students will be held in the College on Monday, February 28, from 8pm to 9.30pm.
