Family fun day on the Ara River is not to be missed
Tipperary Town Tidy Towns Committee, in conjunction with the Local Authority Waters Programme (LAWPRO), are set to host a family focused event on the Ara River along the new River Walk in Tipperary Town which is suitable for children and adults of all ages.
Over 50 events are planned for the Premier County from Saturday 12th to Sunday 20th of August 2023.
This family focused event will include a walk along the new river walk to explore the rich biodiversity found in and along the river and is set to be led by Ruairí Ó Conchúir (LAWPRO).
The event will also include awareness-raising activities and games along the river with Ruairí Ó Conchúir and volunteers of the Tipperary Town Tidy Towns Committee who will bring the river and all the creatures to the forefront of minds.
Children, and adults alike, will be invited to be citizen scientists for the day and there will be plenty of hands-on learning about how rivers work for people of all ages.
This free event takes place on the 19th of August from 3pm - 4:30pm and all are welcome. The Tipperary Town Tidy Towns Committee will provide refreshments after the event. Please bring appropriate foot ware and clothing.
