Clonmel Athletic Club will promote a charity 4k race in aid of SERT (South Eastern Radiotherapy Trust) on Wednesday, February 12.
The club is delighted to help in some small way to raise much-needed funds for this charity. All money donated will go to this very worthy cause and everyone is encouraged to come along and support the run.
SERT was launched in November 2005 to support the provision of radiotherapy for cancer patients from the south east. SERT provides vehicles which are driven by groups of local volunteers from Dungarvan, Kilkenny, Clonmel, Wexford and Waterford. They transport cancer patients who require radiotherapy from this area to the treatment units at the UPMC Cancer Centre, Waterford and to Cork University Hospital, free of charge.
