The Competition Control Committee in Tipperary (CCC) have confirmed a number of games scheduled for today (Saturday August 26) have been postponed.
The call has been made due to the tragic traffic collision which occurred in Clonmel yesterday evening (August 25), resulting in the deaths of four young people.
In a statement, the CCC confirmed the Premier Intermediate Hurling Chp group 1- Moyne Templetuohy v St Marys – Venue Fethard, and the Intermediate Hurling Chp group 3 Kilsheelan Kilcash v Moneygall – Venue Holycross will not go ahead.
They have reportedly been re-fixed for Tuesday and Wednesday the 5th and 6th of September.
Times and venues will be fixed by the county CCC.
Their statement reads: "The county CCC wish to express their heart felt condolences to the families of the bereaved and all their friends. May God walk with them during this difficult time."
The following game has also been changed:
County intermediate hurling chp game between Carrick Davins and Knockavilla Kickhams which was due to go ahead today in Clonmel, will go ahead in Fethard at 5pm.
