The cost of fossil fuels has risen and thefts of fuel has gone up too in tandem. This weekend a quantity of diesel was stolen at Rockwell Rovers GAA club in west Tipperary on Saturday night last.
The club, based at New Inn outside Cashel, suffered on the double as property was damaged on site as well.
The proud GAA club have excellent facilities on site, with an astro turf used by juveniles and adult teams, as well as a sturdy stand to protect spectators from the elements when needed.
A lot of work is being undertaken at present and this setback may possibly push out the completion date.
Anyone in the vicinity of Rockwell Rovers over the weekend that saw anything suspicious is asked to contact Cahir Garda Station on 052 744 5630.
