Jack Connolly, The Green, and from Clonmel Boxing Club, fighting out of the red corner, and wearing the green jersey for Ireland, in the 57kg, was up against the Welsh Champion, Jim Price, from Cwnbran. Jack with his club coach Martin Fennessy in his corner, won on a majority decision, where he had to dig deep and use his strength and skill, to out box the awkward style of the Welsh man.

Another great start to the 2011 season, with an International win under his belt, and sets up to what hopefully will be, another successful year for this very popular young Fethard man.
