Cashel Lions Club hosted another highly successful Senior Citizens Party last Wednesday night, January 19, in Halla na Feile.
A great night was had by all as they catered for about 160 revellers. Cashel Lions Club would like to thank the following who helped out: John Joe and staff of Halla na Feile, Gearroid Ryan and the staff of Rockwell College who made all the dinners, the Nagle Centre, the Transition Year students from the Community School who helped prepare the hall, and helped out on the night, the kitchen staff, Brosnan's Bar for the drinks, Just Five for the great music, all the Lions and their partners who made the desserts, donated the spot prizes for the raffle and served all the dinners, Fr. Christy O'Dwyer and Dean Phillip Knowles for their attendance, the Order of Malta, the drivers who brought people to and from the event, and to Gemma Hayde, winner of Cashel Lions Club Young Ambassador Award 2010-11.
Finally, we would like to thank all our friends for coming out on the night and having such a good time. It is so important to recognise the valuable contribution our senior citizens have made to the community and night's like this are our way of saying a big thank you!
